Back on the Bike
My Mom and Sister arrived last night, so after my class we went to Cafe Mexicali and ate the best burritos in town. Hannah told me that she didn't care to see me, she just wanted to eat a burrito. After that we watched the Patriots game. How good is it to be a New England sports fan? The Patriots are a dynasty, the Red Sox won their division, the Celtics are going to be unstoppable, and nobody cares about hockey so it doesn't matter how the Bruins do.
Today was my first real ride in a while. I decided to climb the Poudre Canyon and then come right back down. It's usually windy in the canyon, and blows in from the East. Today however, the wind was coming from the West so I got to climb with a headwind before turning around and cruising on the way home. Three hours feels like a long time on the bike when you haven't done it in a while, and my legs certainly reminded me that.
After that I just hit up some local places with the family before they headed off for Lake Tahoe. I have another three hour ride to look forward to tomorrow...maybe I'll do the World's loop.
