Well this weekend was the last one before I begin training, so I decided to live it up the way someone like myself would. This involved me eating Cold Stone ice cream Friday night (which had over 30 grams of saturated fat), playing soccer Saturday, and eating a McFlurry today and watching some more soccer before indulging in a little Dr. Pepper. This will be the last time in a while before I eat anything bad. I think I'll have a slice of pie at Thanksgiving and then wait until Christmas before I indulge again.

Looks like I'll be meeting my Mom and Sister on Tuesday, as they are on their way to Lake Tahoe so my Sister can ski bum it for the winter. I think she got the idea last year when we were at Whistler, and then when she went out to Lake Tahoe this Fall, decided that was where she wanted to do it. It will be good to see them, it's been a while since I've seen anyone from back home.

Like I said earlier, I'm going to start training this week for the collegiate road season in the Spring. I realize it's a little early, but I haven't been riding too much, and I don't want to wait too long to start riding again because 1) It's hard not to have cycling dictate my life and 2) I'm afraid I'll have no cycling fitness if I wait any longer. So, I'll have plenty of time to prepare, so hopefully I'll be pretty fast when the races start in March or April. I just downloaded a ton of music so I'll be able to chug along to some new songs without getting bored for a while. During these long days on the bike I'll be able to judge Kanye West, who I refuse to like. This way I can listen to all his music and find out whether or not he really does suck.

The OC

So lately I have been busy downloading episodes of the OC on Limewire. I think I was looking through someone's favorite TV shows on Facebook, and I saw that they had The OC listed there when I decided it would be a good idea to watch those first few seasons and see why I became hooked on such a good show in the first place. So far, I have all put three of the first season's episodes downloaded, and I have watched the first ten of those. Needless to say, my internet time (checking e-mail and Facebook) has dwindled greatly because of my new found passion.

I've been riding about an hour every morning, just to transition until the beginning of November when I start training for the collegiate road season. Today I did some weight lifting and crunches on a machine before I went to a yoga class, and when I got to yoga class I was already super tired, and then I got super worked during the yoga class because I didn't expect we would be doing core work in it. We had to have our legs in the air (like 90 degrees, perpendicular to the ground) and then draw the alphabet with them...I was hurting. I had to stop at P before I could finish it off. Well, I've got a test and homework due in Financial Accounting tomorrow, so I had better go ahead and do the homework and not study for the test because the class is really easy...

Check out these new shoes that I picked up at Footlocker the other day. The best part is that they were $40, on sale from $75. I guess I'm quite the bargain shopper.
Lately I've been riding for about an hour in the morning, and in the afternoon I alternate between swimming and lower body weight lifting. I hate lifting, so I treat the swimming as my upper body work out. I feel so ripped when I get out of the pool, even though as my roommate Ben pointed out, the main feature of my body is my skeleton. Oh well, that will be changing a little bit at a time. I picked up some True Mass that I drink three times per day to add an extra 630 calories to my diet, and something like 45 grams (200 calories) come from protein. The guy at GNC told me this stuff was pretty much the best so I decided to roll with it. Well, I think it's about time to finish downloading the rest of the songs from the new 50 cent CD. In case you haven't heard it, you should probably go ahead and listen to Touch the Sky.

Back At It

Well now that I'm back at school I find myself with more free time than I need. I haven't updated in so long I forgot all my login information, so it took me a while to sort it out. Not too much news, just that I'm going to try and put on some weight. I'm weighing in at about 152-153 pounds right now. I went to cyclingnews and you can see the pros' heights and weights when they profile their bikes. I've decided that I should try to get up between 170 and 175 pounds. According to this website I was at, I'll need to 3800 calories per day to gain 1/2 - 1 pound per week. Looks like I'm going to be eating a lot of Cafe Mexicali burritos in the next few months...
