Free Time

School has started once again, meaning two things. I now have more free time and a faster internet connection. With that in mind I've decided to start updating again. Here goes. I ordered my Gary Fisher Paragon 29er this morning from the Cycle Loft. I rode around an X-Caliber the other day and it felt pretty sweet, so I can only imagine how much sweeter the Paragon is going to feel. For those of you that think 29ers are just a bunch of hype, I'm about to prove you wrong this upcoming season. Depending on my monetary situation, I may or may not get a set of Stan's wheels for the bike.

I'm going to start riding again tomorrow. Saturday night I got a bad case of the 24 hour flu and threw up six times. This was followed by a restless sleep in which I got up about five times and headed for the bathroom, or washroom as they call it in Canada, yeah? Anyways, I think all the side effects are gone now, so I'm good to go. I won't have a mountain bike to ride for a while until my Paragon gets here, so looks like I'll just have to brave the cold on my road bike. Collegiate road season starts in only five or so weeks, so I'll have to get in a really good base before I start hitting those races. I plan on attending all of them, just because I know that it will be really good training, and also a great team atmosphere. From what I understand, our men's B team is more organized that many teams. By this I mean that we work together better and have more team unity because after all, in collegiate it doesn't really matter how you do as long as you can put four riders in a good position.

Classes have gone well. I'm glad I changed my major to Health Promotion because I now feel like the classes I'm taking are worthwhile and beneficial to my cause. With that in mind, I've got Drugs and the Human Body in a few minutes so I should probably head out.
